Grill

With a passion for beauty

The GRILL restaurant at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg has opened its doors with a fresh design. With our textile expertise and craftsmanship in upholstered furniture construction, we have significantly contributed to the modernization of the historical interior design dating back to 1926 by architect Emil Fahrenkamp (1895 – 1966). The color scheme and clear design language of the new GRILL restaurant pay homage to the design work of the renowned architect.

All furniture, fabrics and carpets are made to order using high-quality materials. BW’s furniture is manufactured at its site in Bielefeld, and the timber used is sourced from the local region. As such, our range sets new standards in terms of individuality and quality. The decorative and upholstery fabrics impress with their distinctive warmth and colour harmony, as well as the masterful interplay of their patterns. Cut-velvet with expressive geometric patterns meet dramatic plain velvets and delicate small patterns. Floral designs exhibit subtle shimmering effects. BW's benches and chairs, whether built-in or freestanding, embrace the warm color palette with upholstery in olive green, rust red, and powder tones. In the case of carpets, we have developed high-pile qualities that create multicolored reliefs through carving.

The Oval Salon, adjoining the GRILL restaurant, radiates in delicate powder tones. Its highlight is a panoramic wall mural that transports the viewer into enchanting landscape gardens. For this exclusive ambiance as well, the specialists from BW Bielefelder Werkstätten have meticulously handcrafted custom-made furniture. Special attention is given to textile details, such as intricate appliqués. Chairs and benches leave an impression with the elegant interplay of leather and velour. Variably designed cushions add further textile accents.
