With a refined sense for space, light, and history, Hotel FREIWERK—perched above the town of Stolberg—has been transformed into a unique place of retreat and inspiration. Carefully restored wall paneling, a gallery flooded with natural light, and elegant rooms and suites come together to form a coherent interior concept that mirrors the hotel’s elevated location and architectural presence.
In close collaboration with JAB ANSTOETZ Contract, a bespoke interior design was created that seamlessly blends timeless aesthetics with contemporary comfort. The thoughtful combination of natural materials, refined textures, and a harmonious color palette evokes an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and inviting. Muted fabrics, finely crafted furnishings, and custom-made design elements define the interior ambiance—from guest rooms to the lobby.
the design process, the emphasis lay equally on quality, durability, and creative freedom. Furniture was custom-built, and fabrics were specially refined—drawing inspiration from classical references while being reinterpreted for the context of a modern boutique hotel. Even in the spa and outdoor areas, the versatility of JAB ANSTOETZ materials becomes evident: robust and functional, yet full of aesthetic finesse.
The interior of Hotel FREIWERK tells a story of artisanal precision, sophisticated design sensibility, and a sensitive approach to spatial composition. It stands as a prime example of how thoughtful design can bring spaces to life—subtly, authentically, and with distinctive character.
Working in close partnership with JAB ANSTOETZ Contract, a bespoke interior design has been created that combines timeless style with modern comfort. The combination of natural materials, fine textures and a balanced colour scheme creates an atmosphere that is both stylish and cosy. Fabrics in muted tones, meticulously crafted furniture and bespoke design elements characterise the harmonious interior – from the sleeping area to the lobby.
The focus is as much on quality as it is on creative freedom: pieces of furniture were specially commissioned and fabrics were individually finished – inspired by classic designs and reinterpreted for the context of a modern boutique hotel. The versatility of JAB ANSTOETZ’s materials is also evident in the spa and outdoor areas: robust, functional and yet full of aesthetic sophistication.
