Excelsior Hotel Ernst

Luxury at the Cologne Cathedral

Cologne's exclusive member of the "Leading Hotels of the World" is to be found in a prime location vis-à-vis the Cologne Cathedral and in the direct vicinity of the historic city of Cologne and the river Rhine. Family-owned since 1863, the Grand Hotel stylishly combines valuable traditions with modernity. Its 137 rooms and suites provide luxurious living, comfort and the highest service standard of the city.

For the extensive refurbishment of the 'Marzellenflügel' with its rooms, suites and corridors exclusively high-class products were selected. The handmade upholstered furniture of the BW Bielefelder Werkstätten and the textiles used for the sumptuous window decorations, bed heads, bedspreads, throws and cushions of the brands JAB ANSTOETZ Fabrics and Chivasso enhance the impression of the whole ensemble. While the wall-to-wall carpet TWINKLE provides cosiness in the rooms with its silky matt shimmering surface, the specially created AXMINSTER wall-to-wall carpet from JAB ANSTOETZ Flooring adorns the corridors and the prestigious staircase, combining stylish elegance with individual charm and unique modern design.
