Since 1869, the Quellenhof has been a popular meeting place for famous film stars, statesmen, monarchs and oligarchs in the Swiss luxury spa town of Bad Ragaz. After a complete renovation and investment of 45 million Swiss francs, a new era of luxury hotels is now being heralded in this venerable location.

The vision of Patrick Vogler, CEO of the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz, sounds as clear as it is ambitious: "We want to kiss the "old lady" awake and become the leading Grand Hotel in Europe". With this in mind, the substance was thoroughly polished in just five months, the entire interior individually designed and redesigned. On the one hand, the charisma of the Gründerzeit is to be preserved, because the tradition of the Ragaz spa location begins with the discovery of the Tamina thermal water in the 13th century. On the other hand, a 5-star milestone is to be set for the pioneering luxury and comfort of the 21st century.

Free flowing ideas for design and equipment

All the furniture, carpets, chandeliers and fabrics were specially designed for the "new" Quellenhof. Water in all its forms was the central leitmotif of the design for the leading Swiss interior designer Claudio Carbone. In addition to three new thermal water fountains, the 16-metre-high chandelier made of 2500 blue and transparent bubble balls is an eye-catcher and symbol for the modern interpretation of the thermal theme. This is evident in the form of blue carpets with wave-like decorative elements, among other things, right down to the details of the individual interior design of all 94 rooms and suites by JAB ANSTOETZ.

Luxury in king size format realized by JAB ANSTOETZ

A sparkling jewel of the renovated Quellenhof is the King Suite with 270 square meters, which was furnished by JAB ANSTOETZ with custom-made furniture according to the designs of Claudio Carbone. Ten luxurious Saloni chairs alone invite you to linger and enjoy in a royal ambience. A total of 10,000 linear metres of fabric, 11,000 square metres of wallpaper and around 500 cushions transform the Quellenhof into a source of well-being that is refreshingly positively received by the guests. The completely renovated Grande Damé has been fully booked every day since 1 July.
