Design diversity for a holistic cinema experience

JAB ANSTOETZ was able to make a decisive contribution to the atmospheric design of the KINOPOLIS project with its wide range of products for commercial use. The large selection of colours, patterns and fabric qualities enabled the client to individually coordinate the fabric combinations – perfectly tailored to the overall design concept of the cinema.

The focus is on the high-quality velour fabric EXCELSIOR 1-3097, which is ideal for use in cinemas thanks to its flame retardancy and velvety soft texture. Used as a stage curtain and for linear wall coverings, it reflects the light atmospherically and creates an exciting shadow effect. At the same time, its subtle brilliance creates a sophisticated ambience – even in passageways, it creates a feeling of quality.

The foyer areas of the cinema auditoriums reflect this concept. The curtain fabric UNITO 1-1209 picks up on the respective colour scheme and forms the perfect connection to the furniture. The high-quality chenille fabric is also impressive as a furniture covering: sound-absorbing, flame-retardant and available in 121 colours. Finished in mint and aqua, the curved benches subtly refer to the proximity to water and the port of Hamburg.

Various seating areas furnished by BW Bielefelder Werkstätten create a cosy atmosphere in the public space. The elegant sofas and armchairs from the POLO COCKTAIL series combine design and comfort – ideal for the cinema's lounge areas. Wave-shaped, custom-made benches in various colours divide the spacious foyer into zones and reflect the Hanseatic setting with their design language.

KINOPOLIS impresses with its successful symbiosis of functional textiles, custom-made furniture and a holistic design concept tailored to the location.
