Double Knot New York City
Japanese dining culture meets velvety elegance
With DOUBLE KNOT, restaurateur Michael Schulson brings his modern izakaya concept to the heart of Manhattan. Located just steps from Rockefeller Center, the restaurant unfolds across two levels, combining Japanese-inspired cuisine with an expressive interior defined by intriguing contrasts, warm lighting and a distinctly tactile material palette.
While the sushi bar and cocktail bar upstairs create a lively, urban atmosphere, the Amber Room below offers a more intimate setting. Soft lighting, warm tones and rich textiles lend depth to the space, creating an elegant and subtly mysterious ambience.
Our fabrics are used throughout the interior in a variety of applications, from drapery, custom-stitched sheers and light fixtures to chairs and generous banquettes. Velvets, mohair and finely textured qualities enhance the interplay of light, colour and texture, contributing to DOUBLE KNOT’s distinctive atmosphere.
